After much needed delayed Vacations post stressful exams, the result of Class X Boards finally arrived. The atmosphere of Anxiety, Restlessness, Sleepless Nights and Nightless Sleeps suddenly changed into Celebrations, Repentances, Comparisons with Neighbour's and Distant Kin's Sons/ Daughters. You spent most of the day replying to Congratulatory Messages. Many of you got calls from relatives you never knew about. TV and Newspapers were filled with Interviews of Toppers and reports about how girls out-shined boys again.
It is very Important to Celebrate/ Retrospect your performance as you have gone through a lot mentally, emotionally, physically and even financially (for parents) to achieve what you have achieved. Nevertheless you have to realise that it is a stepping stone to your overall academic career and the Real Challenge begins now. Entry in your dream College/University will largely depend on your Class XII marks and score in the competitive exams you take. So enjoy your Head-start but don't let it get in your head.
Till now, your competition was with the Question Paper and maybe your classmate rivals. Now you might be racing it out with someone sitting in Tripura or Ranchi or Chennai or even in a Foreign Country on a Sunday morning in April heat. Your will have to clear cut-offs in Speed Testing Objective exams with negative marking schemes. Although it might look Tough and even overwhelming right now, there is absolutely No need to Panic. It will be same for everyone. This was just a Gentle reminder for you to Change Gears NOW.
There is much more to life than exams. You can still Achieve all the academic success while simultaneously Enjoying life too. It is all about how you manage your time and emotions.
